Radiator - Rebuild (Recore)

Radiator Rebuild / Recore Specialist

Newquay Radiators and Exeter Radiators have been rebuilding / recoring Radiators since 1982.

Our highly trained technicians have over 100 years experience between them and they carry out each job to a high standard.

Whilst their aim is to meet customer requirements, they also provide advice on any options which could improve the performance, efficiency and longevity of the radiator.

Time is money, and with this in mind, we aim to keep turn around time to a minimum.

Test

We test radiators to diagnose the problems before considering the best ( i.e. most effective, cheapest, longest-lasting, most practical ) course of action in resolving the issues.

Pressure test to reveal a leak or leaks

Flow test to confirm a choked core

Visual checks provide further useful information

If a radiator is beyond repair, then the option is to rebuild it with a new core.

Recore / Rebuild

Copper and brass core, which is repairable if future damage occurs

Upgraded core, to improve efficiency and performance

Tinned core, which increases longevity and is particularly important for radiators operating in harsh environments e.g. marine, construction etc.

Tubular honeycomb core, which is generally for vintage radiators

Film type core, which is generally for classic and vintage radiators

Rebuilding a radiator i.e. fitting a radiator with a new core, gives a radiator a new lease of life. A recored radiator will be as good as new, and sometimes even better than new !!!
